Ranch Fence

Ranch Fence Installation in Comal County & the Texas Hill Country

Long-run perimeter fencing for acreage, livestock and land. Different problem from a back yard — different equipment, different post plan, different quote.

Acreage is a different job

A back-yard fence is a few hundred feet on ground you can see all of at once. A ranch fence crosses grade changes, drainage, rock, and sometimes a treeline, and the cost is driven far more by terrain and access than by the fence design itself. We walk the line before quoting because guessing at it helps nobody.

Built around what it has to contain

Perimeter and boundary fencing, livestock containment, cross-fencing to divide pasture, and entry runs that need to look presentable from the road all have different specifications. Tell us what the land is doing and we'll spec to that rather than to a default.

Corners, braces and gates

On a long run, corner and end assemblies are what hold the whole fence in tension. Under-built corners are the single most common reason a ranch fence sags a few years in. It's the least visible part of the job and the part most worth paying for.

Common questions

How much does ranch fencing cost per foot?

There's no honest per-foot number without seeing the land. Rock, slope, tree clearing, access for equipment and the number of corners all move it substantially. We'll walk the line and give you an itemised quote.

Do you do cross-fencing as well as perimeter?

Yes — dividing pasture, creating paddocks and running interior lines are all part of the work.

Let's talk about your fence

Tell us the property, the length and what you're trying to accomplish. We'll come out, measure it properly and give you an itemized number — and if restoring what you've got is the better call, we'll say so.
