Fence & Deck Restoration in New Braunfels, TX
Before you replace it, let us look at it. Our two-step clean-and-brighten process pulls the grey back out of weathered wood, and it is very often the cheaper right answer.

What clean-and-brighten actually does
Weathered wood has two problems: a grey, degraded surface layer, and mildew or tannin staining underneath. The first step lifts the grey and the growth. The second neutralises the chemistry and brings the natural tone back up — which is the part people are surprised by, because bare weathered cedar goes from silver to something close to new-timber colour. Then it takes stain evenly, which it wouldn't have before.
Repairs as part of the job
Individual damaged or split pickets can be replaced during a restoration rather than treated as a separate job. Where a board needs to come out, it comes out — restoring around a rotten picket is just delaying the conversation.
When we'll tell you to replace instead
If the posts have gone at the ground line, restoration is money spent on a fence that's coming down anyway, and we'll say so. We'd rather lose the restoration job than sell you one that doesn't hold.
Common questions
Is restoring a fence cheaper than replacing it?
Usually significantly, provided the structure is sound. The deciding factor is almost always the posts — if they're solid, restoration is normally the better buy.
Will a restored fence look new?
Close, in most cases. Clean-and-brighten takes weathered cedar back to something near its natural colour, and a stain on top of that reads as a new fence from the street. Deep splitting and physical damage won't disappear, and we'll point that out before you commit.
