Cedar grade is the whole conversation
Cedar resists rot and insects naturally, which is why it has been the default fence wood in Texas for generations. But 'cedar' covers an enormous quality range, and cheap cedar is the reason some fences look tired in two years while others still look good in fifteen. We'll show you the grades, tell you what each one costs, and tell you plainly where spending more actually buys you something and where it doesn't.
Custom means custom
Board-on-board, side-by-side, horizontal, cap-and-trim, mixed cedar and metal, stepped runs on a slope, matching gates and pedestrian doors — these are design decisions, not catalogue options. We build to a drawing or to a photo you found and liked.
Finished the way cedar should be
We came up as a staining company, so we know what cedar needs to take a finish properly and how long to wait before applying it. Your fence gets built and finished by the same team, which means nobody is arguing about whose responsibility a blotchy stain job is.
Common questions
What's the difference between Western Red Cedar and Japanese Cedar?
Both resist rot and insects well. Western Red Cedar is the traditional choice with the deeper natural colour and tighter grain; Japanese Cedar is typically the more economical option while still giving you a genuine cedar fence. We'll price both so you can see the gap.
Can you build a horizontal cedar fence?
Yes, and it is one of the most requested custom builds we do. Horizontal runs put more demand on post spacing and board selection than a standard vertical fence, so it is worth having someone build it who does it regularly.

Tell us the property, the length and what you're trying to accomplish. We'll come out, measure it properly and give you an itemized number — and if restoring what you've got is the better call, we'll say so.
